You\u2019ve probably heard about the Extraterrestrial Hwy or Nevada\u2019s state route 375 because it\u2019s the closest road to the mysterious Area 51.<\/strong> A lot of people, mainly conspiracy theorists, talk about the things that go on around this road but they don\u2019t give you any facts about it.         Many people think the Extraterrestrial Hwy, or ET Hwy for short, is located just outside of Las Vegas. It isn\u2019t. ET Hwy is located 110 miles north of Vegas and starts from the small hamlet of Warm Springs. It ends at another small hamlet called Warm Springs located about 50 miles east of Tonopah.<\/p>

        The one word that best describes the ET Hwy is \u2013 remote<\/strong>. You can easily stop along the ET Hwy, in the middle of the day, and not see another car for 5-15 minutes. And at night, it might be an hour or two.<\/p>

        But according to legend, nighttime is when the \u201cinteresting\u201d phenomenon occur. Looking up at the sky, people say they see strange lights, glows, shapes, hear noises, etc. Since one of the most notorious top-secret testing areas is close by, these interesting things probably come from one place \u2013 Area 51.<\/p>

        For many people, it\u2019s fun to conjure up stories and theories as to what is really going on out at Area 51. To clarify some of that mystery, here\u2019s a brief description of the history of Area 51 and how it has been used for the past several decades.<\/p>
