This
easy hike will quickly take you from the greenery of China Ranch into a maze of
desolate, sandy-colored hills. A true, geological example of "badlands" [glossary],
these hills are totally devoid of
plant life and give you the feeling that you have entered another world.
This hike is off-the-beaten path with no signs pointing to it and no
official trail. The canyon doesn't even have a name! But it's not
difficult to find and knowing that you are some of the few people who have seen
it is just another reason to explore it! There are plenty of side canyons
to explore, too.
