BackRoadsWest presents:

Teahouse Hike (Furnace Creek Inn)

Perched on top the hills behind the Furnace Creek Inn is an out-of-place structure.  This "teahouse" was built in the 1930's by the Inn's predominantly Chinese staff and, later, guests of the Inn continued the tradition of taking their "tea time" in the teahouse.  Today, the elements have taken their toll on the structure itself but the view is just as spectacular now as it must have been back then!
