Between the turn-off to China Ranch and the town site of Noonday is a spectacular "hidden" canyon.  This truly "hidden gem" is so well concealed that you have no idea it's there!  And, even once you do know it's there, it's still amazing!  As you drive down Furnace Creek Road, the overall landscape gives you no indication that there's a canyon nearby.  It's one of Mother Nature's optical illusions!  The upward slope of the terrain that leads to the canyon's edge is so subtle, you can't see the edge or the other side and, therefore, have no idea the canyon is there.
